Baylee was so excited for her birthday, and wanted a Princess Tea Party. I don't know what I was thinking with deciding to do everything myself, but next year we are definitely going with easy.
Baylee wanted to be Tiana. Since there aren't any Disney stores around, and it wasn't Halloween, I did my best to make her a Tiana tutu. It didn't turn out too bad (not that you can tell from the picture), but I wish I had thought more about a top to go with it. Don't you love her pose?
Baylee with her cousin Abby. While all the Princesses were arriving, we had a craft table set up for them to make tiaras, wands, and decorate tiara picture frames. My niece, Shelby, also came to help and paint the girls' fingernails. I ran around frantically trying to get everything finished. Unfortunately, the craft table did not keep them occupied as long as I thought it would.

After crafts, we did a game of Princess Freeze Dance. The princesses showed off their best princess moves, and when the music stopped, they gave me their best princess poses. This again, did not last as long as I thought it would.

I think this is when we decided it would be a good time for the actual tea party part. Ben and I served them the food and "tea" (pomegranite lemonade or apple juice). The table was decorated with more things I made. Glitter starfish, hand fans, magic carpet coasters, and there were also paper laterns around the room.

Ben's mom helped me with the food, and was nice enough to make these cheese mice I wanted for the party.
I made these sugar cookies that I decorated with tiger stripes and as sand dollars. We also had some pink circles and stars sugar cookies. We had mini sandwiches cut out in star shapes (peanut butter and jelly or turkey and cheese), I made star shaped chips from tortillas to go with hummus, and we also had fruit salad and carrot sticks. It feels like I'm forgetting something?
Afterwards we played a couple more games. We played Who Woke Sleeping Beauty Up, a little like Heads Up 7 Up, and What Princess Am I, where everyone had to guess which Princess someone was by the way they acted or song they sung or what they said. The girls seemed to have a little bit of a hard time with this one.

Next we let Baylee open presents. It was so cute that all the girls just crowded right around Baylee and were so excited to see what she got. I couldn't even see what she was opening. Once presents were done, we still had quite a bit of time left before the party was over, so we had an impromptu Princess Parade to the end of the street and back. We practiced our Princess walks, waves, and turns. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of it.

After the Princess Parade, we did a mini photo shoot on the stairs.
Next was pinata time! Ben made this tiara pinata with Baylee.
Baylee hitting.

Payton hitting. All the girls and Payton got to hit two times and the thing wouldn't break.

We had to call in the reinforcements! Good thing Shelby was there to break it open!

Candy everywhere!

Next was cake time! Thanks to Ben and his mom, Kathy, for making the cute cake of Tiana as a frog!
Blowing out the candles. This cake was sooooo good! It was just a chocolate box cake and a confetti box cake, but with homemade whipped cream cheese frosting. I couldn't stop eating it, and there was a lot leftover. I don't think the kids ate much of it, they were all too excited to play with the presents Baylee got.
I made these baskets and bracelets for the girls to all take home. Each one was a different princess, and we filled the basket with a couple of party favors and their candy, crafts, and decorations to take home.
Thanks for coming everyone! It was a fun Tea Party! (And a good way to say goodbye before we moved)
