Halloween Weekend Parties

We had quite the busy Halloween weekend, full of plenty of party time! Here's what we were up to:

Pumpkin Carving:
My Aunt Patti and Uncle Warren do a pumpkin carving party every year. This year it was the Thursday before Halloween. We had yummy food and lots of fun!

Baylee in front of her pumpkin (post potty incident :( which explains the pajama pants). She helped Ben scoop it out, but I think there was so much going on that she couldn't focus enough to help carve.

Ben getting our pumpkin ready for carving, which he also did....

Baylee wanted an Ariel pumpkin this year. I'm sure Ben was so thrilled to carve Ariel.

My cousin Brooke made sugar cookies for the kids to decorate. Baylee's favorite part is always the frosting. In fact, at one point she grabbed a knife full of frosting and just stuck it straight into her mouth. Don't worry, I grabbed the knife before it went back into the frosting cup and it was a plastic knife.

Baylee and Payton originally had matching shirts and brown pants.... It was cold that night!!!! We had a great night though-thank you Warren and Patti for having us!

Trunk or Treat Party:
Ben and I were asked to be on the activities committee at church. So Friday night we helped out with a Trunk or Treat Party. We had nachos, games/haunted alley, and then trunk or treat (where the kids trick or treat to cars).

Payton and Baylee ready to go to the party. Baylee wanted to be Jasmine and for Payton to be Raja this year. We had a really hard time finding a Jasmine costume this year. I went to two Disney Stores and also called 2 stores, everyone was sold out of her size or anything close to it. I finally found a cheap and cheesy one that was still too big, but hey it worked, right? Baylee also kept doing weird things with the headband. Funny that we didn't see any other Jasmines this year.....

Ben cut my head off, but here is Baylee and a bundled Payton in the costume parade before trunk or treating. Baylee didn't last too long getting candy, but we still enjoyed the night.

Halloween:
We had a very busy day on Halloween. Baylee had a soccer game in the morning, and we did a little grocery shopping before meeting up with friends at Chick-fil-a. The kids got a coupon for a free kids meal. Baylee and Trey both still had on their soccer uniforms from their games.

Chick-fila had a bounce house for the kids to play in. They also gave out little sundaes, and had crafts (which we didn't get to), and even had the Chick-fila cow. It was a cute little Halloween lunch.

Next, we went to my Aunt Melissa and Uncle Doug's for Halloween night. Every year the have Halloween night there. Everyone brings food, and we all sit outside and watch movies they project onto the garage and pass out candy. Whoever trick or treats to their house makes out pretty well in the candy department.

Last year Ben made Dead Man's Meatloaf. This year he made this cute Mummy Meatloaf.

Here's this years crowd (minus Ben and Doug who escaped the camera):
Baylee and Payton with their Grandma Higgins.

A sleepy looking me with my little Jasmine. I don't know why I can't ever seem to keep my eyes open all the way in pictures...

Baylee told Ryan the she was Jasmine for her costume and that he was just "Scary" for his. Not that his costume looked scary or scared her, but that's what it was called.

Scotty, Chandler, Paige, Alice, and Patti.

Hayden and Warren the pirate.

Grandpa and Grandma Higgins, Kelly, and my dad in the background grabbing some grub.

This picture of Melissa was taken by Baylee. Sorry it's not the best, Melissa! But really not bad for a three year old! Thanks for having us-we had a great time!

We had such a fun Halloween season! Ben says he's glad Halloween is over, but I can't wait for all the fun again next year!

Halloween was never my favorite holiday, but now that I don't live in AZ I've realized how much I loved all the things our family would do for it! I miss everyone! Looks like you had so much fun!

Great pics - and I LOVE the one Baylee took and I don't like having my pic taken - that's why I TAKE them!!! I was sure I had gotten out of any pics. I totally forgot about that one at the end. Thanks for coming and bringing yummy food to share! We had a great time with you & look forward to doing it all over again!
