I Know It's Been Awhile...

So I know I'm totally behind on our blog. We had some birthdays, a trip, and even a baby shower that I still need to write about. And I'm sorry. I will get to it hopefully sometime soon. And I promise lots and lots of pictures for those of you that just can't get enough of our little family (come on, you know you can't). I just need to find time to upload them all onto the big computer, which hasn't seemed to be an easy task to get to lately. Once I rescue our house from the messy tornado that has hit us (that comes from a combination of two kids, one being a newborn, moving and me trying to adjust, along with my laziness), conquer the mountain of laundry that accumulated during our week and a half vacation, and have found time to remove two mutant, but very cute, leeches (the smaller one is all stuffed up and is having a hard time napping or laying down), I promise an update. And it wont be small-so consider yourself warned. I am now off to try harder to get a little one to sleep so I can shower (I am typing this one handed).

Oh, and I really do love those "leeches", and wouldn't trade them for the world. I don't mind them attaching themselves to me too much, but it makes it hard to get anything done. Anyone who can tell me how to get anything done without the bigger one smothering the little one to death, I'd love to know!

And this blog isn't a complaint of all I have to get done, just a warning I'm still adjusting and an apology to those who are waiting for an update. And a way for me to not go crazy with all I need to do. An update is on its way, hopefully sooner than later.

Hang in there Brittany! You are doing great I am sure! Your kids are beautiful and happy!! So my girls are the same age apart as your kids. It will get easier! Esp right now when all you do is nurse. It seems impossible to get anything done! The squeezing and roughness doesn't really go away but it gets better. McKenzie is finally old enough to know how to communicate with Brynn rather than just squeezing her or dragging her down the hallway to make her play with her. :) Soon they will be laughing together and it will all click! Wish we could have hung out more! I sure miss you guys.

I think the only way I got things done with a newborn and a toddler is if one of them was sleeping! Or if someone really helpful was visiting. Good luck!

The only way to save the younger one from the older one is to stop taking showers! It's rare that I get one in still and mine are 2 1/2 and 5 1/2. Either I have to wake up early or wait til' the hubby gets home or else all hell breaks loose in my pitiful 5 minute showers...still. I don't know if that brings comfort, but this is my reality. I hope yours evolves into something different. Also, I've given up on getting anything done. Basically I've changed my perception of the definition of what "getting things done" is. Now, getting things done is building legos, reading books, going to the pool, changing diapers, and if I'm lucky - taking naps. It's a good life even if I'm sometimes stinky because of it!!!
