Back in June, our wonderful friends, The Vans, were so nice to let us come stay at their house for what I think was ten days. Mike was at Scout Camp for most of the time we were there, but Ben wasn't around a ton either. So it was mostly us girls with the kids. We had so much fun with them, and were sad to go back home. Here's a couple of pictures to help us remember those 9 days.
We are always going to Costa Vida with The Vans for dinner, so of course we had to squeeze that in while were were visiting (we missed you, Mike!). Baylee took this as her chance to show off her modeling skills.

Apparently, the fountain just seemed like the perfect place for practice. These are just a couple of many, many poses we somehow captured on camera. I think she's convinced she's America's Next Top Model.
Group shot for all the kiddos. I'm not sure what they are raising their hands/reaching for? I think this might have been where we bribed them with a trip to Barnes & Noble to play with the train.
Payton and Connor giving each other friendly man hugs. They aren't too cool for that yet.
One day while we were there, Heather introduced us to Jambo.
Trey and Baylee were so cute on the bumper cars. And they picked them up so quickly too!
We thought the kids would have so much fun on the train, but unfortunately, the fake animals were too scary for Connor and Payton. They had to stop the train so Heather and I could get on.
Waiting for the Barrel Ride to start up. We didn't stay at Jambo too long. When we saw school buses full of kids pulling up, we knew that was our sign to leave.
We hit up Barnes & Noble for story time another day.

It's not a trip to to visit without going to Baylee's old gymnastics gym for Open Gym time!
We spent our weekends with Grandma and and Grandpa Higgins, sometimes eating doughnuts.
I love that our kids get along so well together and had so much fun playing! I guess Connor even cried when we left. Thank you Heather (and Mike) for letting us stay with you guys and for putting up with us and our messes! Thanks you for letting us interrupt your life, and then making us feel good by trying to get us to stay one more day. And of course, thanks for being the best friends ever!
