Culinary Festival & Last Hoorah!

I've gotten a little behind on what we've been up to, so here's a little update.

Two Saturday's ago we went to the Scottsdale Culinary Festival.  We had a lot of fun tasting all the yummy food there.  It was pretty crowded, but we still made it through and got some food to eat.  You had to buy coupons that you used to pay for whatever you wanted to try.
Baylee was pretty cranky when we got there (she had fallen asleep in the car and we made her wake up).  Once we got her a snow cone, though, she was happy as can be.  One of our favorites of the day was this sample from The Melting Pot-it had chocolate fondue with strawberries, marshmallows, and cheesecake to dip in it.  We love the Melting Pot!

After the Culinary Festival, we headed over to Scottsdale mall for a little bit.
At the mall they had a cute little place that used to be a store.  They changed it into a little play area for kids.  It had little two story structures like a pirate ship, little house, castle, etc. for the little kids to play in.  It was super cute, and Baylee had a blast!

This past weekend was the last weekend that I could travel before baby #2 is born.  We were planning on making a Disneyland trip this coming weekend, partially for Ben's bday, but since I can't go then we decided last minute (like a few hours before) to go down this weekend.  A lot of Ben's family were running a 12 person relay race, so we didn't have anyone to go with us to Disneyland this time (it was a blackout day for passes anyways).  So, we went alone this time for, as Ben  calls it, our last little hoorah with only one kid.  We didn't do very well taking pictures.
Here's Baylee waiting in line to meet some Princesses.  Since the line wasn't going very fast, we didn't stay in it, but we were able to peek around a wall and see Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.

One of Baylee's favorite things was walking through Sleeping Beauty's castle.  We stopped for a quick picture by the Sleeping Beauty statue, and that's when our camera batteries died.  we kept it a pretty mellow day, and didn't stay too late (we were there for about 8 1/2 hours).

Saturday we hung out with our brother-in-law, Brant, and kids for the day.  We did lunch at the mall food court, and then walked around a little.  I think Ben and Baylee took this picture while they were waiting for me in one of the stores:

After his kids were done with their naps we headed to the park for some kite flying and playground fun.  After Missy got home from the relay race we went to dinner and frozen yogurt with the four of them before heading down to Ben's other sister, Jenny's house.  We met up with Jenny, her friend, and Ben's parents for more frozen yogurt.  Sunday we hung out at Jenny's, did a little shopping, had some yummy dinner there, and headed home.  It was a quick trip, but also a fun last trip as a family of three, and we enjoyed seeing Ben's family.  We are excited (but also nervous) to soon be a family of four!

Happy Easter!

I feel like things have been a little hectic for us lately.  Between the whole house thing, potty training Baylee, Easter, and now Baylee having the flu, I'm feeling a little behind on all the things I think I need to be doing.  I finally got our Easter pictures uploaded last night, and Baylee being sick again gives me time to update our blog without feeling guilty for not doing other things I should be doing (like packing).  So, here's a little about our Easter:

Friday night we went to dinner with some friends, and then Saturday we met Doug, Melissa and Ryan at Ra Sushi for a late lunch/early dinner.  We finished our shopping errands before that, so when we got home we decorated our Easter eggs.  Baylee had been talking about dying eggs and doing Easter eggs hunts for about a month, so she was so excited that is was finally time.

I'm not quite sure what Ben's pose is here, but Baylee is really into coloring on her first egg of the night.

Baylee and Ben putting Baylee's egg into the green.  For some reason our pink dye didn't work, so it made for a lot less color variety.

We got the Disney Princess dying kit, and Baylee loved the Princess crowns that came in it, even if they were a little small for her head.

Baylee and Ben posing with some of the finished eggs.

Sunday morning Baylee was excited to see that the Easter Bunny had come!  Although she was a little disappointed that the Easter Bunny didn't bring Hungry Hungry Hippos, she was still happy with all her candy and the bin of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse games.  The Easter Bunny hadn't realized until after getting Baylee's present that she wanted Hungry Hungry Hippos so bad.

A quick family pose before heading to church.

Grandma Hall bought Baylee's cute Easter dress!  This time we didn't hear any complaints in church about it being itchy!  Although we did hear a "Shake Your Booty" song....  The person in front of us got a kick out of that.

My Aunt Patti had Easter at her house.  After eating, there was filled eggs galore out in the front yard!  Baylee had fun looking for them, but at first she kept wanting to stop and open them as she got them.

We had a really fun Easter, and loved being with a bunch of family for it!  We hope everyone else had a great Easter too!

Offer Accepted!

After waiting for over two months, we finally found out this morning that our offer has been accepted on a house we wanted!  We are so excited!  We should close on it around May 6th- the day before Ben's birthday.
