Cinderella Turned Into A Pumpkin!

Every year my Aunt Patti and Uncle Warren have a pumpkin carving party. Now that we live here, we got to go (Ben and I have gone once before when we were visiting though)! I found a Disney Princess carving kit, and Baylee was so excited for her pumpkin to be turned into Cinderella. Ben ended up doing it all on his own though.

Baylee decided that she'd rather help my Uncle Warren by poking holes all in the side of his pumpkin.... Luckily he didn't mind.

Baylee was excited to stop and pose with her daddy and the finished Cinderella pumkin, though!

After everyone was done, the pumpkins all got lined up, lit, and the lights went out. Here's the finished products (Paige and Chandler used our castle and rose stencils for their pumpkins, and they turned out really cute!):

Cinderella all lit up:

Baylee had a blast, and has decided that we need to make the other two Princess pumpkins from the kit, so check back for Snow White and Ariel! I'm sure we will be carving them soon!

I'm Going To Disneyland!

Baylee's been begging to go to Disneyland, so this weekend we decided to make a trip to Southern California to go. We left Thursday night and stayed at Ben's sister Missy's house. Friday they came with us to Disneyland for a while, and Ben's brother Mike also hung out with us for a little bit. Of course our camera batteries that had just been charged wouldn't work, so this is the only picture that I got from Disneyland, which you can't even tell was taken there:

Baylee did not want her picture taken! She had a blast at Disneyland, and even got to see some of the Princesses up close. She fell asleep for dinner, but woke up in time to see the parade. We were going to stay for fireworks, but were just got too tired and Baylee's diaper had leaked so she was all wet. So, we decided to leave- 10 hours there was enough for us that day, and it seemed like there was getting to be a bigger crowd. We will go again soon!

Friday night we slept at Mike's house and then drove down to Ben's sister Jenny's house on Saturday after eating breakfast at Mimi's. We had fun hanging out with them on Saturday, and Saturday night we tagged along to their Trunk-or-Treat. Baylee was so excited to be dressed up as Belle, and loved getting some candy. Here's her with Jessica before Trunk-or-Treat:

Andre eats a pomegranate everyday, and Baylee was scarfing it down about as fast as Andre could get the seeds out. Thanks for sharing Andre!

Sunday was Jessica's birthday. Mike stayed at Jenny and Andre's with us Saturday night, and Missy and Brant came down Sunday for dinner. So, we got to hang out with everyone before leaving to come home. Baylee fell asleep just as soon as we got in the car (that's what no nap does to her), and woke up just in time for a gas fill up/potty break. She wanted some Cheetos while we were inside. It was so funny because she was chowing down on them, but we think she was actually asleep for a little while as she was eating them. Her eyes were closed and she wouldn't respond to anything we said to her, but she was eating away! I tried to get a picture, but I think the flash was what finally got her out of her little trance.
We had a fun weekend, and loved hanging out with some of Ben's family. We also got to meet Jenny and Andre's two new girls that we hadn't gotten to meet yet. They are cute, fun girls and we are excited to have them in the family!

Pumpkin Party

Friday night we went to Schnepf Farms with my aunt Melissa, Uncle Doug, and cousin Ryan. They are doing what they call a Pumpkin and Chili Party. Of course the new batteries I had just put in our camera were dead, so no pictures for us. :( We had a lot of fun though! We did a hayride to the corn maze (the maze was a different experience than what we are use to from the mazes), played mini golf, had a couple of treats, went on rides, watched fireworks, and even brought home a mini pumpkin for Baylee. We had so much fun, I'm sad we don't have pictures, but I'm sure we'll do it again next year! There was so much to do we didn't do everything. Thanks Melissa, Doug and Ryan for coming with us!

I love fall for all the fun things there are to do. Ben and I try to find Pumpkin related things every year, so I'm glad we were able to find something here (thanks to my cousin Brooke- we missed you guys!). The only thing I don't like about fall is the cold, but so far we haven't had to worry about that one.

Little Helper

Baylee has been really into helping me cook lately. Yesterday we decided to make cookies together. Baylee was really excited to help, but when we went to add the egg I realized that somehow all of our eggs had cracked (maybe it has something to do with the fact that Baylee can get into the fridge in this house). Ben stopped and bought us some eggs on his way home from work, but by then Baylee had kinda lost interest in helping for a little while (she really wanted to play outside). Eventually she came back to help me roll the cookies and then cover them in sugar. Ben snapped some pictures:

I ended up needing to fill up the sugar bowl a lot more than usual this time. And I also swept up about a 1/2 cup of sugar off of my floor. She had fun though, and that's all that matters.

Baylee also has a new favorite use for hangers:

Be on the look out for this new fashion!

Somethings Not Right

Anyone notice anything strange (besides Baylee pulling out one of her pigtails)?
And now a back view:

Nice goggles. I guess her "cheeks" needed some protection. Or she needed something to keep her shorts up?

Chocolate covered fortune cookie anyone? They're pretty yummy, just ask Baylee.

Fairy

Saturday we decided to go to the state fair. Baylee was so excited to go to the "Fairy"-I wonder if she really understood. We mostly looked at a lot of animals, so that's mostly what we have pictures of. Baylee loved the baby animal petting zoo.
Baylee got to see her friend "Linda the Llama" from Diego. Oh, and she really did get to see Dora earlier that day, which she loved!

For awhile there she didn't want Ben to take any pictures, so that's what some of the faces are about. There was a cute baby giraffe.

Baylee thought it was so funny when a baby pig came over a rolled around right next to her. This is her "what happened?" pose.

Happy once again for the kangaroo and giant tortoise.

She also got to ride a few stuffed animals, but had a really hard time deciding on which one she wanted, which resulted in a fun little tantrum. We took a food break shortly after this.

After some food Baylee was in a better mood, so we decided to go look at the elephants. So, we are standing there when she says to me "I really need to go ride that elephant, mommy!" Who can resist that?

She waited so patiently on the steps for her turn. Of course she didn't want to be held.

Getting all strapped in.

The elephant even posed for a picture! I think the elephant ride was the highlight of Baylee's day at the fairy!

Daddy Daughter Weekend

While Brittany was off hanging out with my mom, sisters, and sister-in-laws I was lucky enough to be able to spend the weekend with Baylee. I was going to do a daily photo blog of what we did but I didn't want my mom to see it before she got her surprise party and when I pulled out our old camera it didn't work. I guess that is why it is our old camera. So I only got a few pictures of Baylee with my computer because I wanted to show Brittany what I dressed her in each day. I think I did a pretty dang good job. Take a look:

She was my wonderful helper this weekend. We got to move and she would help me carry little things in the house. She would carry a bowl while I carried the rest of the dishes. Keeping her busy helping me made it easy to move.

Friday night we got to go to "Playhouse Disney" at the Suns Arena in Phoenix. It was pretty good. It was just a little play with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einstein's, Tigger and Pooh, and Handy Manny. I don't mind any of those shows so the play with them was cool. Baylee was mesmerized by it all. She just sat on my lap the whole time and watched.

The rest of the weekend consisted of Moving, brunches with Brittany's Grandparents and Scott, a free concert in the park, walks, playing and watching football. Baylee and I had a great time together and she is a wonderful kid. I love her so much and was so excited to be able to have some alone time with her. This was the first time I have taken care of her all by myself for more than the majority of a day. I wasn't worried at all. We both knew we would have a great weekend.

We were happy Britt was able to go to California and we love that she is back. We missed her.

Baylee Talk

Yesterday I bought Baylee a little inflatable pool (now that we actually have a backyard that isn't all rocks) and she wanted some goggles too. So we found some on clearance for 75 cents for two pairs, and she had to wear them on the way home. So we are driving along when my dad and I hear:
"Hi! It's me, Baylee! And I'm wearing my sun goggles!"

I just love some of the funny things she comes up with! She keeps us laughing.

Surprise!

Ben's mom just had her 60th, so the daughters and daughter-in-laws all surprised her in San Francisco for a girls only weekend.

I got in Thursday night and stayed at Ryan and Anna's. Ryan picked Wendy and Baby Cambri up at noon on Friday, and we all rode Bart into San Francisco to meet up with Jenny and Laura later that afternoon. Missy's flight was delayed, but she met us in time to wait to surprise Kathy in the lobby.
Here's all of us waiting for Dan and Kathy to show up.

Dan saw us, but Kathy was oblivious to the fact that we were there. Dan even had a suitcase packed so she won't get suspicous.

Surprise! It took her a little while to get over the shock. After she got over it and Missy was able to run up and change we went out to dinner at the Slanted Door.

All the girls after dinner.

We had a weekend full of good food, massages or facials, shopping, late nights, and lots of talking. It was a nice break, and I even got to wear pants and an occaisional sweater! It was a little weird coming home to a new place though.

Happy Birthday Kathy! And thanks for the fun weekend Dan! I can't wait until Christmas when we are all there (except Ryan, Anna and kids:( )!
