Such a Good Helper!

Baylee is such a good helper! For example, today while we were at work, she decided to sit in a box of papers I was shredding and hand them to me. It was too cute!

The Best Ice Cream and a Goofball!

The other night we were craving ice cream. We had to run to the store and get Ben's BART tickets, so we just decided to grab some Ben & Jerry's while we were there. They were on sale 2/$5, so we decided to go ahead and get two. We love the Karmel Sutra, so we grabbed that one, and they also had a new Creme Brulee flavor that we decided to try. So, that night we tried the Creme Brulee. It was soooooo good, I can not even describe how good it was! A little on the rich side, and pretty sugary, but so good we ate it in two days. You have to try it! We also let Baylee have some, and she of course loved it. It also turned her from a majorly sleepy girl to an acrobat. After it had been in her system for about 15 minutes, so decided she wanted to do somersaults.
So, here is the best picture we could catch of her trying to do sommersaults. She gets in the position and pushes up onto her tippy toes, but can't quite seem to be able to push hard enough to get over yet, so I have to help her. She's pretty close to being able to do it on her own. Pretty good for a one year old, though!

Once Baylee realized that Ben was trying to take a video of her doing a sommersault, she decided to run around like a crazy person instead. She was very entertaining that night!

The Chocolate Festival

Baylee is so good at sharing that she managed to get both myself and then Ben sick. So, that was not the most fun way for us to kick off our weekend. We just had a mellow Friday night so that we could rest up to have a fun Saturday.
Saturday we went to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival in Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. First, we stopped off to get our friends Evan, Brooke, and McKenzie Millar. It took us a little longer than we wanted to get to their house becuase we had to stop and get gas first, and our GPS kept sending us to the wrong places. First it sent us to a buisness park area and then to someone's house. We were finally able to locate a Chevron and make it to the Millar's to pick them up and head to San Francisco. When we got there we stopped at Fisherman's Wharf for some lunch, and then walked down to the festival. It was kinda fun that while we were walking to the festival and back people kept handing us free samples. We got some packaged carrotts and ranch and apple slices and grapes on our way, and on the way back we got free granola bars. The festival itself was pretty neat, but crowded, so we didn't really look around too much or stay very long. We bought a tasting coupon, so Ben and I got to get 15 samples of the various things the vendors had. There was mostly cookies and ice cream sundaes or shakes and gelato, although we did get some very tasty toffee and two Ghirardelli carmel chocolate bars. The sample sizes were pretty small, considering our tasting coupon was $20, but the money went to a charity cause, so I can't complain too much. It was fun, but like I said, a little too crowded. What can you expect though, since it was a Chocolate Festival!
After the Festival, we just headed back toward home. We grabbed a quick dinner and did our shopping for the week, and then had an early bedtime night. We were all pretty worn out and needed the sleep, and it was nice to relax. Sunday we had the usual dinner at Ben's parents's house. Baylee loves being around her grandparents and playing with her cousins. She especially loves her cousin Garrett, and it is so cute to see her following him around. He is a good sport and puts up with it. Yesterday, they were sitting in her favorite spot (the stairs), and Garrett just kept talking to her and she was so happy and just kept laughing. SO CUTE! We've been lucky to live by family.

Community Bug

Poor little Baylee- I guess there's a community bug going around that she caught. :( This morning she woke up at 4 throwing up and then threw up every 15 minutes after that until we left for her dr.'s appointment at 10, and she was magically done. The dr. said it's a bug that's going around and she should throw up for 6-24 hours and then she'll have diarehia afterwards for up to 2 weeks! Fun stuff, huh? I'm not looking to forward to that. She seems to be doing better. She feel asleep on the way home from the dr. and woke up very hungry. She's eaten a little and had some pedialyte (which our dr. said to add crystal light to pretty much so it tastes better for her) and she is currently passed back out on the cuddlesac, which now needs a wash job. So, I get to do major laundry today and Ben is off taking a final. I think we are going to have an early bedtime tonight, since we haven't gotten much sleep. I'm just hoping Baylee will still be wanting to just sleep alot. Fun stuff. Aren't you all jealous?

Labor Day Weekend

Here's what we were up to this past weekend. I didn't really get any good pictures-sorry! These will have to do.

Friday night Ben made reservations for us at P.F. Changs. We had the crab wontons and mongolian chicken. Very yummy! Baylee really liked it too. After dinner we came home and watched Catch and Release. Ben was not a fan.
We were hoping that since Baylee crashed in the car we would be able to watch our movie once we got home. Baylee had other plans and decided to surprise us and wake up instead.

Saturday we had a slower moving morning. We took our time and just let Baylee play. She found the shirt we bought Ben Friday night and decided to wear it. The only problem was it was just a little big. It went quite a bit past her feet when she stood up (or tried to). We went to lunch at Mimi's with Ben's parents and sister Jenny and Liz and Cami Roberts and Cami's boyfriend who was visiting from Sweden. After that, Ben and I made a quick trip home to pick up some clothes and then to Target. We ventured back to his parents and then later went to our nephew Owen's baptism followed by an open house-type family dinner at Ben's parents to celebrate. Then it was home to bed.

Sunday we usually have dinner at Ben's parents, unless either they are out of town or we are. Usually if someone is out of town it is them. We don't go anywhere very often. It was fun to have Jenny there, but she left for a little while to go see Mike, who stayed at Ben's parents for a little bit, and his family. He was living there while he was doing Highway Patrol training until his family could move down from Sacramento. Kathy had Jenny take some Kettle Corn for all the kids.I think Baylee was secretly hoping that noone would notice if she had it, or was trying to make off with it or something. It was kinda obvious though since it was almost as big as she was. We just kinda hung out the rest of the day and Ben's mom made crepes later. Yum! I love crepes! We also went for a night walk downtown and back. I'm always up for walks! It put Baylee right to sleep, too.

Yesterday was Labor Day, so it was nice that Ben could have an extra day to hang out with us. We woke up a little earlier and went to breakfast with Ben's parents and Jenny and our neice Shelby. After we hung out a little and played 36 (a card game). Eventually it was time for Jenny and Nathan to leave and catch a plane home. It was fun seeing them! We hung out at Ben's parents while Baylee had a nap and then went to The Great Mall and Claim Jumper. We love Claim Jumper! They even brought out a little plate with cheese, turkey, applesauce, and oranges. It was so perfect. We ate cheese potatocakes, the Widowmaker turkey burger, and a heathbar mudpie for dessert. It was so good.
After a long day, Baylee fell asleep in the car on the way back from Fremont.
Unfortunetly, she woke up when Ben started taking his daily pictures of her. We had a great weekend, and are very excited for this coming weekend!
